Early this summer, Monsterus was approached by a good friend
of Ron’s from High School that is now in the film business. “Brad
was a year older and was always the guy tipping me off to
the latest cool music out there! I remember specifically
being turned on to both U2 and Kansas/AD through Brad...he’d
always would loan me tapes to check out...and I’d bump
into him at concerts. It’s wild to see how God brings
peoples paths back together to pursue ministry through those
very things that originally brought that initial connection
and friendship.” Once getting together and sharing
about the Zealot Comic we saw a multitude of creative opportunities
together. The first project we’re working on with Brad
is a Sci-Fi Animated film he’s been working on for
sometime called ‘Aneste Brace of Two’ in which
Monsterus music will appear on both the Soundtrack and in
the film. Brad issued the following release about this exciting
venture.
PRESS RELEASE: ANESTE-BRACE
OF TWO
Monsterus - The name sounds loud, in your face, confident. The music is loud,
in your face, confident, high-tech, and above all sang with conviction.
I have been following Monsterus on the internet for quite
some time and when I decided to pursue some musicians to
appear on my animated film project, they immediately sprung
to mind. Ron, their drummer, and I go way back to high-school
art class, but I had never met the other two members of the
band. After talking with them for an evening, I discovered
we had kindred spirits and similar visions of what art and
music can do to further the gospel. Then Ron let me listen
to the Zealots CD. Wow. It pounded into my skull like a jackhammer
(that is a good thing in my music world) and never let up.
It was like nothing I had ever heard before and fit perfectly
with what I wanted to do with my animated film. I am pleased
that Monsterus has let me use their music in conjunction
with the development and production of :Aneste: Brace of
Two." I am impressed with the passion poured into their
music and hope that passion will show up in the animated
film.
