At the end of June, Ron was invited by his friends at Dayton
Wire Wheel and Lowrider Kings Al Lopez (Six-Four
Entertainment) and his brother Lonnie Lopez (Blvd.
Magazine) to attend their kickoff of The Lowrider Experience
2003 Tour at the L.A. Sports Arena. The party would start
the night before when Ron attended the Lennox Lewis vs.
Vitali Klitschko World Heavyweight Championship Fight at
The Staples Center. Ron had such great seats, even Mr.
T was sitting several rows behind him. “T is a riot...the
first words he said to me was ‘God is great...God
is good’ then he went on a jibba-jabba rampage that
was hard to get a word in edge wise...I truly had met my
match! I got to talk with him a little before the fight
in The Arena Club...then we finished our super-charged
conversation in the arena before the fight got underway...he’s
very cool and loves the Lord!” The next day began
with Ron finally getting to see the finished custom ARMY/Blvd.
Magazine H2 Hummer sporting 24” Dayton rims. Ron
then got the ultimate honor as friend and President of
the legendary ‘Uniques-Orange County’ Lowrider
Club, Nasario Bastida presented him with the coveted Uniques
gold logo necklace worn by only those in the ‘brotherhood’ making
him part of this Unique family. Shortly thereafter the
bouncing would begin and the tires would start exploding
inside the L.A. Sports Arena...which Ron says is an incredible
experience. The trip would end with a visit to the ultimate
hot rod builders...So-Cal
Speed Shop in Pomono.
